The facility consists of 2 buildings. Gamla Turisten (The Old Tourist), built in 1928 and the newer hostel building from the 1960’s. There are 60 beds in total, divided in rooms of 2 or 4 beds. Some rooms have an extra sofa. All rooms have a wash basin. Toilets, showers and drying rooms are shared and located in the corridors of each building.

Child-friendly environment
Kids love the nature; it’s the world’s biggest playground. It’s a whole new world to explore, were only the imagination is the limit. You only need to go outside, have a picnic in the nature and let the children’s imagination lead the day. To look at elk and reindeer poop, build ponds in the beautiful brooks, jump between the stones in the water, look for some wild cloudberry for the picnic, watch the reindeers’ pass by and go fishing is just some of the things kids can do in Kvikkjokk. After one day in the mountain everybody sleeps tight.
